Central Manure Drying
In certain situations it is more efficient to dry the manure in a central place. For example if the ambient air is warm and dry like in the Middle East. But also when the birds do not produce a continuous quantity of heat, like broilers.
The central manure drying plants are designed in a way that a large part of the drying capacity of the ambient air is used. But when the energy in the ambient air isn’t sufficient to dry the manure to the desired dry matter content, additional heat can be added. This can be a waste heat source, a biomass burner or gasifier.
